About Steven

I'm Steven W. Booth, an artist, author, publisher, and entrepreneur. I live with ADHD and bipolar disorder. I also live with my beautiful wife, Leya (who has autism), and far too many cats (in 2025, there are 8 of them).

I spend a lot of time thinking about the challenges associated with ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and other neurodivergences (e.g. schizophrenia). I've put a lot of thought into the problems of shame and inconsistency in neurodivergence and ways to get the same or better results in life as neurotypical people. Some of the responses I've explored include energy healing and chakra balancing. My goal is to tell you about all my adventures in finding solutions for these problems.

A couple of notes. First, I talk about a lot of things that other people don't talk about, like energy flows, muscle testing by proxy, and communication with animals, just to name a few. If that's not your bag, it's distinctly possible that this isn't the right place for you. Second, and perhaps more importantly, I respect other people's beliefs (or lack of same), and I expect anyone commenting on my posts to do the same. However, I don't have to embrace those beliefs, and if you expect me to, you're going to be disappointed.

I will be talking a lot about Taoism, which colors much of my worldview. My core texts are The Tao of Leadership by John Heider and the Tao Te Ching translated by Stephen Mitchell, with a little Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff thrown in for good measure. I cannot recommend these texts highly enough. If you can find them, snap them up. You will learn a lot.
